Apartment Guide
A quick reference to help you enjoy your stay and keep everything running smoothly.
Each apartment in our complex is individually owned, so appliances and features may vary slightly. This guide covers the most common setups, quirks, and tips to ensure a comfortable, trouble‑free stay.
A small starter pack of tea, coffee, sugar, and milk is provided in every apartment to help you settle in comfortably at the beginning of your stay. These items are not replenished during your visit, so if you require additional supplies you are encouraged to bring extras or pick some up from the local shops nearby.
To protect the units and ensure efficient cooling:
- Please do not set the temperature below 22°C - Setting the temperature too low can cause the unit to ice up and stop cooling.
- Please avoid running the air conditioner overnight -The units are not designed for continuous overnight operation and may ice up or shut down.
Ceiling fans and natural airflow keep the rooms comfortably cool at night, especially in our coastal climate.
Best Use Tips
- Keep doors and windows closed while the air conditioner is running
- Allow 10–15 minutes for the room to cool
- Use Cool mode for consistent performance
- Switch to fans once the room is comfortable
Safety Switch
- A separate safety switch may need to be turned on before the cooktop or oven will operate.
- You may find it:
- On the wall near the stove
- Inside a nearby cupboard
- Above the benchtop
Oven Clock
- On some models, the oven will not work if the clock is flashing or set to 0:00.
To fix this: - Set the correct time on the oven clock
- The oven should then operate normally.
On Departure:
- Ensure the oven is clean.
- Avoid Setting the Temperature Too Cold - If the fridge is set too cold, the cooling system can freeze up, causing the fridge to stop cooling properly.
Recommended settings:
- Fridge: 3–5°C
- Freezer: -16 to -18°C
If the Fridge Feels Warm
- Avoid lowering the temperature further
- Allow several hours for the fridge to stabilise after loading groceries
- Keep the door closed as much as possible.
Each apartment may have a different TV setup.
For Smart TVs
- Access apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Stan directly from the home screen - sign in with your own account (and remember to sign out before checkout)
For Google/Android TVs
- Press the Home button
- Select the app you want
- Sign in with your own account (and remember to sign out before checkout)
If the TV Isn’t Working
- Check the power at the wall
- Ensure the correct input is selected (HDMI1, HDMI2, TV, etc.)
- Use the Source/Input button on the remote to cycle through options
Washing Machines
- Do not user when unattended
- Do not overload
- Ensure the door is fully closed before starting
- Use the correct detergent for the machine type
Dryers
- Do not use when unattended
- Clean the lint filter after each use (if applicable)
- Avoid overloading to ensure proper drying.
To ensure the highest hygiene standards, our bath amenities (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash) are provided in tamper-proof, enclosed dispensers. Because these units cannot be topped up manually, they are replaced once fully empty. If your dispenser runs low during your stay, please contact Reception, and we will be happy to provide a fresh replacement immediately.
Wi‑Fi details vary by apartment.
You’ll find the network name and password:
- In the compendium located on the fridge or diswasher on or near the router
If the Wi‑Fi Drops Out
- Restart the router (switch off at the wall, wait 10 seconds, switch back on)
- Check for loose cables
- Move closer to the router if the signal is weak
- Ensure balcony doors are fully closed and locked when not in use
- When leaving, press or turn the internal latch then pull the door closed on exit
- Take care not to lock yourself out
- Follow the key return instructions provided in your check‑in message.
- Bins are located in the designated refuse area
- Please separate general waste and recycling
- Do not leave rubbish on balconies (birds will find it!)
- Empty all bins when checking out including the bathroom bins.
- No smoking
- No candles or open flames
- Keep balcony doors closed during high winds
- Respect quiet hours and neighbours.
- Rainbow Beach is home to beautiful wildlife — but please don’t feed them.
- Keep food indoors
- Do not leave rubbish or scraps on balconies
- Secure all items during windy weather.
Just a quick reminder as you check out :
- Checkout time is 10am.
- Please take your rubbish out
- Switch off the air conditioning
- Close and lock all doors and windows
- Leave the keys in the Key Return box near reception
